You may qualify for a FREE Smart Thermostat from Enbridge,
if you own your home (or can get your landlord’s approval)
and meet the following income requirements:

If you qualify, you should have received a message from Enbridge Gas directing you to this website. If you do not qualify, please visit our Home Winterproofing website instead. Thank you.

    Note: Even if you qualify for the program, your home's heating system may not be compatible with Smart Thermostat technology. In this case, your home will be ineligible for the program.

    The following heating systems are not compatible with smart thermostats:

    • First-Generation KeepRite High Efficiency Furnace (1990s model)
    • Carrier Infinity Furnace
    • Viessman Boilers which are 25yrs+ old
    • Burnham Boilers which are 25yrs+ old
    • Other Boilers which are 25+ yrs old or missing the "C" wire

    If you're unsure whether your heating system will qualify, we recommend checking your system's compatibility with ecobee before proceeding. Ecofitt will not be able to verify your system's eligibility until they have visited your home to complete a pre-installation system inspection.

    I understand that my rent cannot increase as a result of this program. I understand that information provided by me will be used solely for program purposes and will otherwise be kept confidential. I will provide documentation confirming income eligibility to Ecofitt Corp (not necessary when application is completed by a referring agency).

    I give permission to ENBRIDGE GAS, Participating sponsors and program contractors to:

    • verify income or benefits received by my household for purposes of confirming eligibility
    • install the Smart Thermostat in my home at no cost to me
    • provide advice and training for using the Smart Thermostat in my home at no cost to me
    • use photocopies of this signed release for these purposes
    • contact me or my case worker
    • obtain natural gas consumption records from Enbridge Gas for up to 3 years before and after the work is done for the program verification and evaluation process
    • randomly choose me to participate in a Quality Assurance/Quality Control assessment
    • share customer information that pertains to related programs to further assist me with energy efficiency

    I understand that even if I am eligible for the program, my home and/or HVAC setup may not allow for Smart Thermostat installation, in which case my home would be ineligible. The program provider will not be able to determine this outcome until they have visited your home to attempt to install the new thermostat.
